Recycled Box Robot

How to make it

  1. 1 Assemble the basic robot shape: a large box for the body, a smaller box for the head, tubes for arms, and a small box or tube for each leg.
  2. 2 Tape all sections firmly together.
  3. 3 Paint the whole robot silver, grey, or any colour chosen. Allow to dry.
  4. 4 Add details: draw panels, buttons, and dials. Glue on bottle caps or circular card pieces.
  5. 5 Add antennae at the top using pipe cleaners or card strips.
  6. 6 Give the robot a name and a brief story.
Creative variation

Make a family of robots in different sizes. Try a nature robot using only natural materials.

Recycled Container Pencil Holder

How to make it

Recycled Lid Pattern Art

Wash lids thoroughly. Pour a small amount of paint into a shallow tray. Lay newspaper under the paper.

How to make it

  1. 1 Dip the flat face of a lid into the paint.
  2. 2 Press it firmly onto the paper to make a circle print.
